#boko haram(different side to the story)#save Nigeria#

Just when you think nothing could be more confusing to already confused Nigerians; a sitting governor in yobe state claims that few minutes before attacks by bokoharam terrorist group, the army men placed in positions in the areas suddenly disappears and leave their post and even when called for help, they delay before responding to the call minutes after bokoharam are gone after the attack.

One cannot help but ask if the military are truly interested in finding a lasting solution to the conflict or if this is the usual politicians playing politics with the life of innocent Nigerians.

Surprisingly few years back when the issue of bokoharam started; our dear president claimed that the sponsors of bokoharam are in his government; but the question are: if he is certain that the sponsors are in his government, why has he failed to bring them to justice, sometimes I wonder if that particular statement was a “slip of tongue” or if the president was trying to gain a confident vote from increasingly worried Nigerians about the true identity of bokoharam.

Something’s that interest me is that whenever there is political fallout between the president and any opposition individual or group; they are suddenly blamed as being bokoharam.
Just few days after the Central bank of Nigeria governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi claimed that 20billion dollars was missing, he became the flashpoint of a political propaganda, and was even accused of being bokoharam member and sponsors, it is disturbing to see that the issue of bokoharam have now been in the middle of all political struggles in Nigeria instead of being a painful experience where everyone irrespective of political denomination, tribe or religion unites to find a lasting solution to the conflict.

When the military continues to fail in their fight against bokoharam even after the declaration of state of emergency in some part of the north east, it makes Nigerians loose total hope that the military is either totally incapable of fighting and driving out bokoharam terror group or maybe there is intentional neglect to the issue of bokoharam just like many other issues in the country where accountability is nowhere to be found.
I have always been against the notion that bokoharam is a religious group because there seem to be no religious motive in their aim other than more of politics and division, many of the Nigerians are deceived that boko haram is mainly an Islamic group aimed at murdering Christians and bringing about Islamic rule, it is surprising how, many of people killed since the insurgency have been more of the Muslims than Christians, Many people link boko haram to Islam mainly because they chant 'Allahu Akbar' while they kill or because of the 'press statement' released by their boss' (shikau) claiming to be fighting for Allah.

The main challenges of the 21st century is that a lot of group created under the disguise of religion is mainly to cause hatred, and using religion against people causes so much hatred faster than using political differences.

The word “Allahu akbar” is very easy to say and anyone can say those words, I guess the abducted girls by boko haram will also be raped by them while the shout Allahu akbar, I think It is high time Nigerians came together regardless of their religion, region, tribe, political party and declare a full war on bokoharam which sole aim is causing confusion and hatred in Nigeria, it is time to stop the blame
game, enough of the accusations.

Years back we and those in the North East only saw such brutal attacks on TV or papers, now they live with them, who knows, your state, town or even community may be the next target. North or south, it is time to resist all efforts to turn us against each other, boko haram have done more harm to Muslims, so I fail to see how their motive is religious related, among the 25 names of victims of FGC(school),only one was identified with a name of another religion, is not about your faith or tribe but about our country and mankind.

Nigerians have to sincerely ask themselves if the issue of bokoharam is truly what it seems or have we all been riding in a long journey of deceit?

I have always held the issue of bokoharam as complicated and many Nigerians will agree with me on that, I believe that the issue of bokoharam lies in 2 separate issues.

One is that either bokoharam is a group sponsored by government of president to draw sympathy by both local and international community who will see the north as sponsors of bokoharam in other to destabilize the government of president Jonathan, a person from a minority group, and for people to show overwhelming support to president Jonathan if it is perceived that the terrorist group who their alleged sponsors are northern elites who wants to destroy Jonathans 2015 political ambition because he is a Christian from South.

The second reason is that bokoharam may be a group truly sponsored by the north, in other to destabilize the government of president Jonathan but the truth remains that both reason remain likely true, but it is up to Nigerians to remain united against bokoharam issue and not let any politicians be it from the North or south to divide and cause hatred between each group.

Most politicians have never been there for the interest of ordinary Nigerians but rather for their selfish reasons, so let Nigerians not be fooled into hatred and division because we will all end up dancing to the tunes of our selfish politicians.
