Where is the Change? Nigerian politics of confusion

Where is the so called change?
- Chai! Una for vote pdp.

Anyone that uses the above sarcastic notion or whatever phrase they use this days; I for one, honestly do not take them seriously and I classify them under the mentally enslaved and un-repentant few who refuse to allow the rest of us grow or atleast allow us move towards the path of growth.

Whether there is currently positive development in the country or NOT- that is debatable and that is obviously a debate each of the opposing side can only prove with FACTS and not just words, lies or propaganda which seems to be the norm in today's Nigeria, because as it stands now; we have many 'sheep's in human being skin' in Nigeria readily available to follow anyone and anything en-mass without proper scrutiny or atleast asking important questions that truly matters, all you need do is make up some lies and watch as it is shared all over by 'supposed educated people' in the country and this leaves us wondering if the years most Nigerians spend getting an education should have been channelled into other sectors- perhaps we would have come out with more positivity than the embarrassments we have today masquerading themselves as graduate but again, this is not a Nigerian problem- Ask the Americans willing to vote for Donald Trump as President and then perhaps you will realize this unfortunate epidemic have become a world problem which may soon lead many into untold consequencies.

Inother to truly succeed as human or a nation, we need to take the 'hard road' which means; instead of remaining in a stagnant phase, we must collectively push towards change- The word change does not mean automatic prosperity, it is simply a phase one needs to pass through if at all they intend to prosper.
People argue and ridicule those Nigerians who went for change instead of remaining stagnant; they make it seem like those who went for change should be ashamed but in reality those that should be ashamed are those who choose to remain stagnant- there is no single shame in going for change after trying one thing always without succeeding or prospering; only those who wants to prosper would try different means when one particular means fails.

I do not believe in parties as there exist bad and good people across every party- I judge each politician based on what they 'bring to the table' but since a lot of Nigerians are keen on classifying every activities along party lines then it is important we remind those insisting Nigerians should have voted for pdp that it is indeed PDP that ruled us for 16years without no electricity, low standard of living, high poverty, insecurity and ofcourse; massive embarassment at the international level such that Nigeria and Nigerians are now ridiculed, insulted or viewed with suspicion. If you think 16years is too small, Ask UAE(dubai) how long it took them to make this much massive development, as singapore et all.
For a party at realm of affairs for 16years with little or nothing worth celebrating, then why on earth would anyone want them to retain power? -Those who would want them would ofcourse be those mentally enslaved, who refuse for the rest of us to prosper.

As I mentioned before; I do not believe in parties but rather on what each politician brings to the table and in this regard, for those screaming that we should have voted for GEJ, I am then forced to ask on what grounds?
We must acknowledge his good activities in some sectors but in any sane society, it isn't worth re-electing anyone for.

Any individual that thinks 'outside the box' and believe in transformation of a nation from backwards to developed would not think twice about not voting GEJ. Why?
GEJ was in power for about 5years; a period that saw different hardship, ranging from massive strikes in education sectors and others; to ofcourse the hike in fuel prize. How could anyone forget the terrorism under him that saw our villages taken over by terrorist who declared their caliphate? Not forgetting that this groups started as non-powerful group till he allowed it get out of control. How can I be too quick to forget the corruption cases? Impunity? Or our dear unemployed youths that died at immigration scam with no one held responsible for it? Or thousands of Nigerians that got displaced and those who lost their lives to bokoharam?
Gej had advantage of high oil prize but instead of using the advantage for help Nigerians, it simply meant more money for politicians to embezzle instead of development on the ground.
We talk about putting trains on our rails but what we got was old fashioned train instead of modern one's-Go visit South Africa and see, yet many were screaming about train? Which wasn't even completed in his tenure.
There are over 100 strong reasons not to have supported GEJ for a second term or no strong reason to support him if ever you are serious about prosperity of a nation.

France President was once asked if he would go for a second term if he fails to fix France's problem.
The President replied: 'If I cannot fix it in my first tenure then it is only wise I allow another to try'. But in Nigeria we want every politician to stay 2 term as if it Is their family inheritance.

Change is a first step towards prosperity, and if that change fails; there should never be shame in that. We must change again until we get it right and if after President Buhari's administration, he fails to show tangible thing, then Nigerians must not hesitate to go for another change- We must keep changing until we get it right; there is absolutely no shame in that, when we refuse to take a step and go for the change, only then should we truly be ashamed of ourselves.

This is not a write up aimed at supporting President Buhari in anyway. It is simply aimed at 2 things:

1. President Buhari is just an experiment Nigerians went for; an experiment they must change if he fails at the end of his tenure.

2. Those insulting the Nigerians that went for change are the true backwards one's and by pointing out the very glaring failures of past administration, they can learn that it was never about pdp vs APC or GEJ vs Buhari; it was about Nigerians vs politicians and making that hard choice if we truly need to prosper as a people and together develop our nation.
