Recommendation To Nigerian Government For Poverty Reduction

Cc: Federal Government
Cc: State Government
Cc: Nigerians.
One of the things that I have noticed about Nigeria is that the government(s) both on state and Federal level does not appear to be a 'major' participant in reducing poverty. The government is more focused on economic improvements of the government/foreign reserve- What does this mean?
They focus almost entirely on improving the country's financial status than individual citizens financial status- this is in an effort to increase international investments than helping individuals and small scale businesses.
I would recommend in an effort to reduce poverty in Nigeria, there should be a representative(s) from the communities most affected by poverty and representative for this impoverished people should be put to work 'directly' with the government, so that the poor population can have a voice.
Important NoTE: 'This individual would have to be directly connected to poverty through personal experience in order for this to work'.
This individual would be involved in all decision-making processes affecting poverty and hunger in Nigeria.

The major problem we have in Nigeria is that the government and her representative are totally disconnected from the masses- They have no idea the basic and most important yawning of her citizens.
Example is in Kaduna state, the government is busy putting up sign post(name in every street) than channeling that money into more important thing. Now if you ask the Kaduna state government how much is put aside for such project; they would likely call millions or if possible billions of naira and I am 100% sure sign post is the most basic yawning of most people in Kaduna especially not when the street in which that sign post is placed is either bad or untarred and there is no street light. Again, they would definitely prefer tarred road and street light to sign post and for the poor- they would prefer project to alleviate poverty than sign post.

So In addition to hiring an advocate, the government could consider financial solutions as well, such as increasing tax incentives for wealthy Nigerians in other contribute all the added tax solely to the poor.
Another idea at the government level would be to create a community program in which teens and young adults during free time(lets say Saturday and Sunday) can help with community programs and general education(like distributing of certain educating info)- These ideas would help to promote public awareness, making poverty and hunger a reality for the country as a whole for everyone to see- Not many people are aware of extreme hunger and poverty faced by many people.
I think in other to reduce poverty and suffering of people, another important area would be donation of goods like Cloths, shoes, watches, even toys like video games etc that people no longer use. There should be more awareness to the public to donate but sometimes even those who wish to donate their unwanted cloths find it difficult knowing where to take it to.
This is a program which any Nigerian can help with and which I would also work towards kick-starting in 'near future'- A public awareness for those who have cloths and other items to donate. They would send it and volunteers would distribute it to those most in need of it.
I think another crucial idea would be to teach as many people as possible entrepreneurial skills- That is another important issue which I can also assist with but the government needs to assist in reaching more people.
I have reached out a partnership hand to some senators and state government(s) but again- It seems to me they do not really care about helping alleviate poverty as long as they receive their own 'national cake'.
Also, because you are a poor child does not mean you cannot have a happy or fun childhood, therefore I think creating social programs for children is important while trying to enhance their individual skills while at same time providing for the basic needs of this children(Educations, feeding, clothing).
Many Nigerians do not like their leaders and have hard time working with them, but you can atleast try work with them for greater good and create a better future for your children; that of others and perhaps generations of born.

Call me Eedris Ngene- My message is for those with basic understanding.
