The story of Miss Ese Oruru, the alleged kidnapped girl and Master Yinusa, the alleged kidnapper

A lot of people might be wondering; why has the story of Ese and Yinusa brought much outcry in the Nigerian nation.

Is this perhaps the most important and troubling story which require this much public attention and outrage or is it that maybe behind the whole noise, behind the whole display of public outrage; perhaps there is an indepth ulterior motive patiently waiting to be unveiled- I guess at this point one has to watch closely.

But no matter what narrative you choose to believe or which narrative you feel best satisfies your twisted intention; truth will always be truth and when one is presented with two narratives(truth and falsehood)- "Truth always stands out clear from falsehood for falsehood by its nature is bound to perish".

And with this said, the truth remains that; the story of Miss Ese and Master Yinusa is the 'typical everyday stories' of 'kids driven by infatuation'(whether we want to acknowledge this or not).

The boy in question could have been from any other region or religion but the fact that he is a Northern Muslim and the girl is a Southern Christian makes it news-worthy and also worth the attention of some Nigerian Senators.

Had Master Yinusa been a Muslim from other region, this story would still draw some outrage and be twisted but not to this extent.

And had they both been Christians, there is 99% possibility that this story would not have made it to the media at all and would probably have been dismissed as 'kids in love fooling around'.

In Western nations, if a young girl and boy elopes to another place because one of their parents refuse them to be together, people would tag it as love story, young love, 'Romeo and Juliet', Some would tag it as crazy and absurd.

In Nigeria, an alleged 14 or 16year old girl(depending on what narrative you prefer to believe) and her alleged 18year old lover elopes to another state; had the boy and girl been Christians, some Nigerians would have laughed at this as 'children fooling themselves', some would tag it as crazy love while others will tag it as stupidity demanding the two be flogged(sarcastically) but then because the boy is a Muslim and the girl is a christian; Islam gets dragged into it, Emir of Kano and all Northern Muslims automatically becomes accomplice and even Prophet Muhammad isn't spared.

Well, It is quite Interesting to know that Emir of Kano(who is undoubtedly one of the most educated and powerful royal fathers/king in Nigeria; a former Nigerian minister of finance and other prominent positions he held) have no important issues to attend to than arranging of two teenagers to elope from Bayelsa to Kano- With the way some Media house puts Emir Sanusi as a masterminder in this solely to convert the girl; One might be wondering if maybe there are no more Christians in Kano that was why he now imports/help kidnap one from Bayelsa. Can you now see how stupid some of the reports by some media house and individuals sound?

As expected and as this has become the norm in Nigerian today; every narrative of this story had quickly digress to religious and regional line.
The young boy in question suddenly got tagged 'a rapist Muslim' and 'pedophilia' even tho. He is below 20 years old.
Inother to be so called pedophilia, the boy must be around 16 and the girl around 5years old or less for such attraction to be diagnosed as pedophilia or if he is a very older adult going after very young girl.

And ofcourse, the likes of FFK, who is supposed to be educated would not hesitate before engaging in their usual mischief and display of public hypocrisy- Not like many Nigerians are surprised because in many occasion, he has proven himself as a certified clown who only enjoys distorting truth and spreading hate.

The said, Miss Ese was in Kano since 2015, then the likes of FFK and those politicians pretending to be outraged by this did not know how to become human right campaigners- as it would not serve their political intention or portray the story as: 'A Muslim Fulani President aiding the kidnap of 9ja delta girls', or perhaps 'An Emir in the North taking decisions with impunity because his brother is in power'; it was definately not worth the attention then since it was a Christian President in power and perhaps, claiming islamization by the likes of FFK would not serve their hate spreading propaganda or politicization of national issues that demands intellectual discussions among Nigerians- Politicians had suddenly hijacked the story as this have become the case of 9ja today.

Miss Ese was said to be away from home for 7months.
At this point some important questions needs to be asked:

1. What type of parents ignore their missing girl for 7months?
2. Why isn't this in media since or rather why did they not inform the media about this since?
3. What changed?

A lot of things from this story does not add up, starting from discrepancies in age to the parents claim with the girl claiming another thing.

Understanding the story:

This story was first reported by a newspaper who knows fully well they do not have a reporter in kano yet they featured the story in their news segment without getting all the facts yet- the way they reported it; the Emir of Kano was portrayed as the evil behind this and Kano became the hell in question.

The surprising claim of this story is that there was a massive conspiracy and cover-up by the Nigerian police to the AIG level, the emirate council to the Emir’s level and ofcourse zakka commission. Some reports claim that the above mentioned persons/institutions were all involved since 2015 to kidnap and turn a blind eye on this story yet this does not answer the lingering question of Media silence since 2015 especially with social network awareness.

According to some reports, those involved in the cover-up was the reason why Yinusa could not be arrested for abduction- Isn't it very interesting that many Nigerians suddenly do not know the meaning of abduction?
Well, to refresh our minds, 'it deals with forcefully kidnapping or taking someone' but when the person willingly goes, then it isn't abducting.

The girl in question have stated clearly and severally that she was not abducted or kidnapped but rather went willingly with her supposed lover, Premium times news have also repeatedly published some audio interview the girl granted them.

The truth remains that both the girl and boy acted wrongly and instead of dragging islam and every single Muslim into this including past generations of Muslims; we should be talking about blind love and how we can keep our kids more focused on more important thing but then, the mischievous prefer to say Islam kidnapped her(as odd as that sounded).

A quick analysis of age/reasoning:

Let us say Miss Ese is less than 16years, but the truth is that even at 13years old, 'Children of today and ofcourse of Yesterday' can talk, differentiate between good and bad, many can be outspoken and the fact that we suddenly make it seem like at 13-16 kids behave imbecile or cannot differentiate between right from wrong is a terrible conclusion.

At 30-70years old, women can still fall in love and behave terribly, men are also not exempted, so this should be about 'blind love'- Please do not say what does a 13-16year old know about love. Even on social network like FB, some of our supposed little daughters post half naked pictures on FB and get many likes from people.
Some months back, the independent news paper(UK based paper) published a story of a 13year old boy who found out that he is gay. The paper backs the boys claim and most readers responding to the article also backed the boy saying 'he was old enough to know if he is gay'. But had this been a girl who says she wants to marry, this same people would said she is a baby and cannot think for herself. Where am I heading to? The point isn't allowing our little daughters to marry, the point is the hypocrisy of 'cherry picking a narrative that suits your twisted intention' and the very fact that 'hypocrisy knows no boundary'.

Finally, a lot of Nigerians talk about wanting the best for our nation, sometimes we must try hard to keep aside religious sentiment if we truly want to succeed. Religion is meant to be healthy, but the main problem in Nigeria is coming from adherents of religion and not atheist or non-religious- Many have twisted religion for their own mischief making- Intellectual talk have suddenly vanished and many more enjoy blaming religion for every bad thing even when it isn't.

A little flash black:

'Few years back, it was the story of Aisha, the pastor's daughter that reverted to Islam and had to run to Emir's house for safety. That time she got tagged as being charmed/bewitched by Muslims that even CAN had to come into the case and some senators too.
Aisha was in higher institution and above 18years(the so called magic age) yet the story quickly turned bitter. Had Aisha been a Muslim that converted to Christianity, those same people complaining she got bewitched would not have had a problem with her and if she claims running away for fear of being killed by Muslims for converting, people would support her but since she's a Christian that converted to Islam- all hell must break lose.

Conversion is legal in Nigeria and we must place restraint on how we display emotions when religion is involved- 'Nothing beats a calmed open minded intellectual discussion'.
