Most, if not all democrats in this world lie because of the simple reason that they know the average voter do not want to hear the truth- they simply need constant reassurance that what they 'presume' to be truth is indeed the truth or that their wishful thinking would somehow magically become a reality, this is why the democratic politician(s) lie.
The likes of Donald Trump tells you that if he becomes the president of USA, he would build a wall with its border with Mexico and that they(USA) will NOT pay a dime for the wall but instead Mexico will pay for it.
He tells you that when/ if he wins, he will Ban all Muslims from entering USA- then the stupid ones among you believe this and vote him in for that one reason that he would ban Muslims entering USA. However, what you do not realize is that the world is interconnected. He cannot ban Muslims without pulling down America- the so called 'land of the free'. It is not possible, Mr Trump says that but if he had any sense left in him he would know that he cannot achieve such dream of his even as the president of one of the most powerful countries on earth- I know this, Mr Trump knows this and the smart one's among us also do, he knows his hands would be almost tied to do that but then again, he continues to campaign with that because he knows the dumb ones would fall for that.
Democracy is indeed a flawed system that tries to push forward the impossible- Democracy gives you the illusion of being totally in charge in a world where in reality the few political class are in control- It promises you complete free speech in a world where free speech is almost impossible and a recipe for disaster if misused. It promises you rights to every single thing when in reality the world isn't made that way.

Democracy preaches:
- Hey, I am the best. I grant 'complete' free speech to everyone to say all you want. Hey, I also grant freedom to do everything you want'
Is this achievable? Not at all. Not in a million years. Mention one country that have fully implemented democracy? None! Because they know the system itself is built on lies that cannot be achieved.
If democracy promises freedom to do everything you want as far as you don't harm others. Why is sleeping with animals illegal in this so called democratic countries? Why are some drugs illegal? Why is it illegal if I choose to take my own life because I am tired of this world? Again, the hypocrisy keeps unfolding because what I mentioned above is simply my freedom to do it without harming others.
Ofcourse democratic countries cherry pick what they want:
- They push forward gay marriage and its legalization and you ask them why and their reply is: 'Two consenting adult' yet they rebuke you for asking why is incest not legal?
You ask them why they refuse to implement sex with animal and their reply is: 'Because of animal rights and animal cant talk in other to agree to sex with human'. Then you wonder if that is their logic, why then is slaughtering animal for food or using them for amusements legal after all no one asked the animals for their permission?

So called democratic country preaches free speech whereby you insult Islam, demonize Muslims, insult the prophet but once you insult gays, jews et al. The Same countries comes after you. Hypocrisy much?

The idea of complete free speech is appealing, it is nice, however, one must differentiate between hate speech capable of causing disgust among people and chaos and then free speech with right intention but NO! Democracy lies to you that complete free speech is possible and the best.
Now in America, they are made to believe they only have two option: 'Hilary Clinton OR Mr Trump' both of whom most Americans don't like. What then would Americans do? Ofcourse nothing!

Prior to 2015 elections, APC campaigned vigorously, they made several promises even those that was clearly NOT achievable within the time frame they said. They did this because they believe this is what many Nigerians wanted to hear.
Ofcourse other politicians lied so much, but the difference was that Nigerians were desperate to change the status quo, they were desperate for someone to right the many wrongs of past politicians- The APC seized the moment and used it for their own political gain.

In other to have a slight shot to becoming a leader of a country under democracy, you need popularity and to get such popularity you need intense campaign and awareness. To get such awareness, you need money and what if you don't have the money? You will go to a lobby group, individuals or political godfather(s) to invest their money in you. What happens when you win?
You start finding ways to pay those lobby groups and godfathers back by either stealing national wealth of the nation, compromising on ethics or granting contracts or appointments to those who do not merit it- all of which is corruption at the government level. This is already embedded in democracy itself and almost impossible to escape.

The APC, PDP, APGA or whatever guise they come under have been lying for years because quite frankly, it is what democracy encourages, so do not be surprised when any of them fail in their campaign promises because they are just following what democracy itself encourages: LIES, DeCEITS and Corruption!
