Arms Scandal-Dasukigate

#DasukiGate# Arms scandal.

It is important to point out that one is always innocent until proven underwise with valid evidence and as such it is important that as the investigation of Nigerian arms scandal continues to unfold, we should guard our "tongues" as much as we can.

We should be careful not to crusify the innocent and pass judgement without all facts at hand.

One thing has become certain now and that is:

"Some pot bellied men in Nigeria decided to share the nations resources among themselves while endangering and not thinking about the lives or well being of millions of Nigerians whom by law and morality, they swore to serve and protect".

Now it is important to note that not everyone fingered to have collected money from Mr Dasuki(the pdp Atm) is an accomplice or criminal in this regard,
If I own a newspaper media house and the president sends military men to harass me, stop production of my papers etc and after sometime, he decides to pay me compensation(as the case of the newspaper owner that collected money).

Let us all be realistic, I would collect the money and that does not make me a criminal. I only collected money for damages to my media house.

If the President comes to me and begs for my support inother to win an election, and then he gives me millions of naira and I collect, that does not make me a criminal; but it says much about I, being "morally bankrupt" because somewhere, deep down, I might feel the money is meant for the nation and not personal money.

If someone like Mr Atiku Abubakar or Mr Dangote of Nigeria gives me the money and I collect, it still dents my image for collecting such "bribe" or gift just to support someone, depending on how we decide to tag it but atleast I know Mr Atiku or Mr Dangote is very rich, he owns several companies etc and as such, I would conclude the money is his and not some stolen money meant for poor Nigerians.

So like earlier mentioned, some of those who collected money for specific reasons might not really be criminals and as such shouldn't be pushed to jail, but they can be made to return the money.

And in some cases, it is common sense to know that when billions is given to a news station like AIT, then it becomes obvious that this has exceeded money for just political advert, it has become paramount that they get investigated thoroughly and when billions is given for prayers, as absurd as it sounds, the accused(according to claims) says that the money was for prayers.

With all honesty and sincerity, one cannot help but deduce that the main accomplice and criminal in this whole situation of stealing money meant for weapons procurement is Mr Dasuki and ex- President, Mr Goodluck Jonathan.

Every other individual can claim ignorance, they might pretend they don't know the money was meant for arms. If someone gives me stolen 1000naira and I collect, it does not make me an accomplice or guilty since I was not the one who stole it and I claim not to be aware the money was stolen.

The honeymoon of Mr goodluck Jonathan should be cut short and EFCC should invite him over for questioning, no one is above the law. The ex-president must not claim ignorance in this, he cannot tell Nigerians that he was not aware of such massive lootings under him. What then made him the leader and CNC of the nation?

It is sickening the extent of irresponsibility and heartless nature exhibited by past administration, it is indeed pitiful the extent at which few greedy old men would, without fear of God or repercussion, share money meant for a country; a country still in dire need of infrastructure, health care system, and a country where most of her citizens live below the "poverty" line and yet with all sincerity, people still support those who have left this nation is ultimate "subuku"? What more can one call that than "mental slavery" of the highest order?

If one travel around and experience the changes nations which Nigeria gained independence together with have done, one would not doubt be surprised at the development and achievements compared to that of Nigeria. This are nations that care for themselves, nations not hypocritical in their activities and most importantly, this are nations that feel they must as a matter of urgency build a secure future for generations to come.

Meanwhile somewhere in Nigeria, some confused Nigerian spend 10hours+ online each day defending rogues who call themselves politicians and tagging some hero's, as if the word "hero" is anything new.
Shekau of bokoharam is Hero to some, Isis leader is hero to some, isreali PM is hero to some yet it doesn't change what they truly represent.
You can only make them hero's in your own little twisted world or figment of your own imagination.
