That corruption will fight back in Nigeria is an "understatement" but that corrupt, evil and manipulative politicians would, through ordinary citizens of Nigeria fiercely resist persecution is the word.
That corruption would through those citizens who are at the receiving end of corrupt practices, those citizens whom because of corruption many lost their loved ones and fellow Nigerians to insurgency, those citizens whom because of embezzlement are forced to live in a country with no strong health care system, bad infrastructure and little development, those citizens whom because of evil leaders after university has no work and yet would fiercely defend corrupt leaders.
As Africans, We claim to have broken free from "slavery" but what we do not know is that mental slavery is the worse form of slavery.
No doubt, there would be fierce resistance "in the air" but the will of majority to be victorious in achieving a better country will overcome the will of minority to hold the nation to "ransom" or keep us at a "standstill".
How insane and pitiful is it that people would admit that they collected billions of naira meant for the nation and yet an unemployed citizen, a citizen who live in an under-developed country because of embezzlement would support the thieves and rogues, they would proudly say: "What is 50billion naira", they would proudly affirm that "isn't other politicians before them embezzling the same"?, they would proudly say that "the guilty ones should be left untouched".
How do you want me to see you?
Obviously, "pathetic" is the word, obviously, "insane" can go and no doubt, "mentally enslaved" would stand.
I don't care about any politician, but that you would proudly shield and support those who have stolen a penny from the nation is very disturbing for me and if I had my ways, I would pack up all your type in the country and export you to South Sudan because I am ashamed to be called Nigerian along side your likes.
Some of us who go to the street and see children begging, some of us who see women; both old and young begging for something to eat or a place to stay, we see all that and it makes people like me cry, it makes people like me angry and it makes people like me pray that if only God would grant us the means to help this poor people, we would gladly help, so don't sit at home and talk about how few people who stole billions of naira meant for the nation should be freed, or how they are being witch hunted, don't sit at home and talk about how 50billion or 2.1billion dollars is little compared to what other politicians have stolen.
You should cover your face in shame because same you would go to Dubai and talk about how beautiful and very developed the country is but you have no problem defending those whom for years have deprived your nation of such beautiful development?
You have no problem proudly affirming that you support a party that have been in presidency for years but instead of development, have left the country in a big mess, you have no problem declaring support for those whom many years down the line cannot achieve a simple "stability" in electric supply.
You should cover your face in shame and hypocrisy but again, in Nigeria of today, "hypocrisy" has become a norm and "mental slavery" has become certified.
